My fitness journey:
Growing up, I was always extremely
passionate about being active and just moving my body.
As I got older, I obviously
went through puberty and all of the joys of being a
woman - I started gaining weight and really developed
an unhealthy relationship with my body.
Throughout high school I was always fit and doing the
most. Then, first year spread hit when I went to varsity,
and so the downward spiral began.
From restricting myself of having foods that I loved,
refusing to go to social events, using exercise as a tool
to "burn off" calories and hating every second of it,
obsessively looking at myself in the mirror, pinching fat
and just being so uncomfortable in my own skin.
I became extremely obsessive and I knew it was time for
some serious CHANGE.
I started trusting myself.
I started believing that one day, all of this
hard work and effort will pay off.
After many months of trail and error - I finally
found what works for my body! The most
important thing you can do, is listen to your body.
My passion for fitness was back in full swing and it
constantly drives me to become the best possible
version of myself. Not just physically, but mentally too.
Yes, there are low days, where I feel as if I've made no
progress and I'm not doing anything right (those days
are so normal btw) But then I remind myself that this, is
a journey. And that I shouldn't always look so deeply
into where I am now, but rather how far I've come.
The highs and lows are all a part of this
beautiful journey.
Everything that I've learned throughout the years and
the knowledge I now have around health and fitness, is
here for me to share with you, and to show you that
you are not alone on your journey!
Whatever your journey may look like.
